However, the raised screen design sets it apart from other micro-mesh screens. 

The raised screen is helpful as it keeps debris from sitting flat on your gutters — since leaves, sticks, dirt, etc., can’t sit flat, they should easily blow away with the wind — leaving you with a clean gutter. 

Additionally, the design will slow down rainwater runoff. This prevents your gutters from overflowing, even during a downpour.

Easy Installation

One of the best things about the gutter guard system installed by Gutter Guards America is that it can be easily installed on your existing gutters. This is great for homeowners who want to upgrade their gutters but don’t necessarily need their entire gutter system replaced.

During the installation process, Gutter Guards America will send a team of its installers to clean and repair (if necessary) your current gutters. This may include fixing alignment issues, sealing leaks, and more. Once that is done, the team will install the raised gutter guard on your home.

Unfortunately, if you’re browsing through Gutter Guards America’s website, you probably will leave with some questions. The company makes some pretty big promises, but there isn’t anywhere on the website to learn more. 

For example, Gutter Guards America mentions that consumers can get a risk-free, zero-down payment plan. However, that’s all the information you get. Nowhere does it say if this applies to all clients or if it’s based on your credit score (which it usually is). 

Seeing this information omitted on the website may cause you to hesitate. And it should. Home renovations can quickly become quite costly, and you should be aware of exactly which financing company you’re working with (and their terms and conditions). If you decide to work with Gutter Guards America, make sure to bring this up during your initial consultation. 

Another example is the Gutter Guards America’s lifetime transferable warranty. A lifetime and transferable warranty is a pretty great thing, but there is little to no information about it on the website. Most companies that offer a transferable warranty generally have some conditions that must be met, something like, “We will transfer your warranty to a new owner, but you must sell your home within two years of your gutters being installed.” 

Unfortunately, we don’t know the terms and conditions for Gutter Guards America’s warranty. Again, we recommend bringing this up during your initial consultation to ensure you understand exactly what you're signing up for.
